The fashion industry, long criticized for its linear "take-make-dispose" model, is undergoing a profound transformation. At the heart of this change is the concept of circular fashion, an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and keep materials in use for as long as possible. For Bangladesh, a global RMG powerhouse, this shift represents both a challenge and an unprecedented opportunity.

Traditionally, hundreds of thousands of tons of high-quality textile waste are generated annually, with a significant portion being exported at low prices or ending up in landfills. This is a massive loss of value and a significant environmental burden. JAYQO Recycle Hub was founded on the vision of turning this waste into wealth.

Our Approach: An Integrated Cluster

We believe the key to unlocking this potential lies in a collaborative, cluster-based approach. By integrating informal waste collectors and MSMEs into a formalized, transparent system, we can ensure a consistent and quality-controlled supply of feedstock. This is the first and most critical step in building a domestic circular economy.

Our central cluster facility provides MSMEs with access to state-of-the-art, AI-driven sorting and processing technology. This shared infrastructure model democratizes access to cutting-edge machinery, enabling the production of high-grade recycled yarn and fabric that meets the stringent demands of the global market.

By localizing the supply chain, we not only create higher-value products but also significantly reduce the nation's reliance on imported raw materials, saving an estimated $500 million USD annually. The potential for new export revenue from recycled textiles is even more staggering, estimated between $4B to $6B USD.

The journey towards a fully circular textile industry is a marathon, not a sprint. It requires coordinated efforts from policymakers, manufacturers, investors, and consumers. At JAYQO, we are proud to be building the infrastructure and partnerships that will make this vision a reality, securing a more sustainable and prosperous future for Bangladesh.
